All My Yesterdays - Julie Gibb
00:00 / 00:00

It was the night before her wedding when the panic set in

She called me from her cell phone in bad need of a friend

She said, ‘He doesn’t have a clue who I am or where I’ve been’

Yes, it’s true she was a wild one in her earlier days

But she put those times behind her and she found her way

I said ‘It doesn’t make a difference what he thinks if you decide to tell

As long as you can tell yourself:’

I’m all right, I do fine, there are days when I don’t

I think dreams can come true, but sometimes they just won’t

I could cry ‘bout my past, but I’d rather think how it’s cool

That all my yesterdays led me to you

Through the journey of our twenties, we held fast to the helm

Seeking comfort for our spirits in the physical realm

Trying ever so hard to always be someone else

You know, you lose when you fight yourself

I’m all right, I do fine, there are days when I don’t

I think dreams can come true, but sometimes they just won’t

I could cry ‘bout my past, but I’d rather think how it’s cool

That all my yesterdays led me to you

I know who I am, and I know that I’ve fought a good fight

I keep keeping on and I know everything’s gonna be all right

I’m all right, I do fine, there are days when I don’t

I think dreams can come true, but sometimes they just won’t

I could cry ‘bout my past, but I’d rather think how it’s cool

That all my yesterdays led me to you
